Apex Board bids farewell to three members
The Board of Apex Housing Association (Apex) recently marked the retirement of three board members. The contributions of John Meehan, Sean McKenna and Dr Rachel Naylor were recognised at Apex’s Annual General Meeting held this month.
John Meehan brought a wealth of knowledge and experience in local government and held a range of positions during his tenure, including Treasurer, Vice Chair and Chair, and served on all committees of the Board.
Sean McKenna was also a Board member of Newington Housing Association, a member of the Apex Group. Sean offered extensive experience in social housing, served on the Housing Management Committee and helped to support the joint working relationship between Apex and Newington.
Dr Rachel Naylor brought significant knowledge and expertise in the area of health and social care and greatly assisted the Board and Housing Management Committee during her time as a member.
Peter Caldwell, Chair of Apex, commented:
I want to thank John, Sean and Rachel for their significant contribution to the Board and to Apex. During their time with us, the organisation has grown substantially, experienced much change and faced challenges including the Covid pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis.Their contribution has assisted the Board in remaining focused on our objectives and delivering high-quality homes and services to our tenants. Their knowledge, expertise and contribution will be greatly missed by all of us.
