Apex has a strong track record of developing new, high-quality, large scale public housing developments of 100+ units.
Apex provides social housing and support services to meet the housing needs identified in those local communities within which they operate. Its design teams and supply chain are all experienced in working on a range of dwelling types, for example:
- General Needs Social Housing – accommodation for families or single persons who are entitled to social housing accommodation;
- Supported Housing Accommodation – accommodation for people with disabilities including those with mental health difficulties, learning disabilities, and those who are physically disabled;
- Supported Living Accommodation – residential care homes, nursing homes and domiciliary care homes that are regulated by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA). RQIA is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Health and Personal Social Services (Quality, Improvement and Regulations) (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 and its supporting regulations; and
- Affordable Housing for Sale and Commercial – developing affordable properties for sale as part of mixed tenure developments, and commercial uses to complement a high quality mixed tenure development and to generate additional revenue to support Apex’s wider objectives.
Experienced in-house development team
Apex’s experienced in-house development team incorporates a range of professional and technical skills and ensures that year on year Apex continues to make a considerable contribution to the delivery of the social housing development programme in Northern Ireland.
ISO Accreditation
The Apex development team is accredited with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality Assurance and Environmental accreditations respectively, and achieved a Substantial Assurance (the highest achievable rating) from the Department for Social Development in Northern Ireland (DSD); the Department responsible for regulation and inspection of housing associations.
