
Strand Foyer, accommodation for 18 – 25 year olds
Strand Foyer is a purpose built complex in a central location. The Foyer provides 48 self-contained flats, plus a range of support services for 18 – 25 year olds.
The Foyer is located on Derry~Londonderry’s Strand Road, and is convenient to training and education services, shops, cinema, leisure centre and other amenities.
Foyer staff provide support 24 hours a day. Residents have the opportunity to participate in training, education, personal development, and a range of other activities designed to improve independent living skills and employment opportunities.

How to apply for this accommodation
To apply, applicants must complete an application form. You can contact the Foyer directly or via another agency that you have involvement with. This can include Floating Support, the Housing Executive, your social worker or anyone you feel can assist you.

Return the completed application form to the Foyer as soon as possible. If you need any assistance completing the form, Foyer staff will be happy to assist you with this.
What will happen next?
When your completed form is received we will contact you to arrange an assessment meeting.
We will contact the other agencies that you refer to in your application form to assist with the assessment process.
At the assessment meeting we will ask about a range of topics, including health, education and training, housing needs and income. This is to enable us to make a decision about the suitability of the Foyer to meet your needs, and to ensure the appropriate advice and support is provided to you.
A decision will be made as quickly as possible and both you and the referral agency, if applicable, will be notified in writing.
