Caoimhe Coney from Apex handing over a welcome pack to new tenant Cara McQuaid and daughter Isabella at the new development at Woodside Court, OmaghWoodside Court meeting demand for smaller homes

Cara McQuaid and her ten month old daughter Isabella are delighted to be moving into their brand new home in Woodside Court in Omagh, provided by Apex Housing Association. Theirs is one of fourteen homes in the shared housing development completed and handed over to tenants during the last few weeks.
Woodside Court is a brand new ‘Housing for All’ development located close to the town centre, with a local park and Omagh leisure centre also within easy walking distance.
New tenant Cara McQuaid praised the quality of her new home and her experience of dealing with Apex, commenting:
I’m very much looking forward to the future for me and my daughter in our beautiful new modern home. It’s been finished off so well and it’s great to have our own space. Being a two bedroom house it’s not too big and so I’m pleased that it should be easy to heat too. With my mum just down the road and the house being so handy to the town centre we’ll not have any problems if we need anything.
Apex made everything easy and I was always able to speak to someone quickly if I had any questions or concerns. I feel very lucky to have a brand new house and Iook forward to making it our own.”
Caoimhe Coney from Apex Housing Association commented:
We are delighted that we’ve been able to provide fourteen homes in a shared neighbourhood in the centre of Omagh town. These two bedroom houses and apartments are clearly meeting demand for smaller properties and with the so called ‘bedroom tax’ continuing to be a threat on the horizon, more of these types of properties will be needed in the future.
