‘Where people thrive’ – Apex launches new corporate strategy
Apex Housing Association (Apex) has launched a new three-year corporate strategy, ‘Where people thrive’, setting out its vision and priorities for 2026-2029.
At the heart of the strategy are five key priorities: focus on our people, support our tenants, deliver high-quality homes, communicate and engage, and lead a strong organisation.

The strategy was unveiled at Apex’s staff conference last week. Hosted by Wendy Austin, the event brought together around 170 colleagues to celebrate the impact of their work over the past three years. Through presentations and videos, staff reflected on key achievements, while ‘The Best of Apex’ awards recognised outstanding contributions across the organisation. The day concluded with a powerful and inspiring talk from Richard Moore, Founder of Children in Crossfire, Apex’s long-standing charity partner.
Liam Hannaway, Chairperson of Apex, said:
It was an honour to launch our new corporate strategy at the staff conference – a day dedicated to recognising the teams who support our tenants, residents and communities to thrive.
Over the next three years, we will focus on strengthening our foundations, building on what we do well, and investing where we can have the greatest impact. Our new strategy reflects the vision we have for our communities and for Apex as an employer. We want to create and sustain places where people thrive – now and into the future.”
Sheena McCallion, Chief Executive of Apex, said:
In developing this strategy, we have listened closely to our tenants, employees and board members, all of whom are passionate about our vision and committed to our communities.
Despite the challenges we face, I am proud that we continue to deliver services that reflect our values – we care, we take ownership, we show respect and we strive for excellence. The vision of ‘Where people thrive’ is clear, and we look forward to working with our partners to bring it to life over the next three years.”
Alongside the ‘Where people thrive’ Corporate Strategy, Apex has also published three supporting strategies outlining its plans in the areas of tenant engagement, community investment and sustainability over the next three years.
