Siobhan Kinsella, gets the keys to her new home in Sycamore Hill from Apex Housing Officer, Laura Maguire‘Stunning’ homes provided for local families in Dungannon

Nineteen brand new homes were handed over to families in Dungannon last week by Apex Housing Association, with one new tenant describing her new home as “absolutely stunning”.
Siobhan Kinsella has spent the last year living with her father in his small apartment, sharing a bedroom with her five year old daughter Mairead and says she is “over the moon” to be moving into her new two bedroom house in Sycamore Hill.
I’m delighted with the house; it’s so spacious and for the first time my daughter will have a bedroom to herself, which she’s decided she wants decorated with a princess theme! The development is very pretty and in such a nice area which is close to my dad’s, work and school. I can’t wait to make the house our own and start making memories here with my daughter. I don’t think I’ll come down from this cloud I’m on for a while!

Sycamore Hill in Dungannon is a brand new development from Apex Housing Association with funding provided by the Department for Communities, delivered through the Northern Ireland Executive.
The development is centrally located and within easy reach of Dungannon town centre.
Construction began in March 2019, with a total of 42 homes planned in total – including five homes for tenants with complex needs. It’s expected the last of the homes will be handed over to tenants next year.
Laura Maguire from Apex Housing Association commented:
We are delighted that we’ve been able to provide these new homes in the middle of Dungannon town, where there is a clear demand for social housing. The development is conveniently located, close to shops and schools and will no doubt grow into a thriving community over the next year as we complete all forty two homes.
