Property Condition Surveys 2026
Apex is currently undertaking property condition surveys in 1,200 homes over the next two years and has appointed an external consultant named Watts Group to complete these surveys. You may receive a letter to inform you that a property condition survey is due to take place at your home.
Why is my home being inspected?
The Department for Communities (DfC) recommends that all housing associations undertake inspections of their homes. By collecting information on the condition of properties, we can identify areas for improvement and better plan our repair and maintenance programmes.
What should I expect?
A representative from Watts Group will contact you by phone to make an appointment with you.
The surveyor will need access to most areas of your home and will complete the survey using a tablet. They will also take photos of key components such as kitchens, bathrooms and boilers. The survey should take around an hour to complete.
