New training and employment opportunities with Skills North West
Apex is pleased to partner with Skills North West in Derry/Londonderry to offer various programmes to our tenants and members of their household.
The following people are eligible for the programmes:
- Unemployed / inactive
- Students
- Part time workers
Skills North West will be facilitating the following programmes through January and February:
January 2019
Pre-employment Hospitality Programme in partnership with Business in the Community (BITC) and the new Holiday Inn Express Hotel
Commences: 28th January 2019.
The programme will run for 3 weeks and on completion you will be guaranteed an interview with the Holiday Inn.
February 2019
Level 1 Engineering Programme
Commences: Monday 4th February 2019 10am-2pm.
The programme will run every Monday and Wednesday for 6 weeks.
Pre-employment Domiciliary Care Programme
Commences: Mon 18th February 2019 9.30am-4pm.
The programme will run every day for 2 weeks and you will gain all the skills you need to work in the care industry. On completion of the programme you will have a guaranteed interview with Bryson Care West and Strabane District Caring Services.
Business Administration Programme
Commences: Tuesday 19th February 2019 10am-1pm.
The programme will run every Tuesday and Thursday for 9 weeks.
Each programme includes progression to employment qualifications such as applying for work, interview skills and team work skills. You will leave each programme with an up to date CV giving you the best opportunity to gain employment after completing training.
