New staff needed to continue vital services

As a result of staff shortages due to the continued impact of Covid-19, Apex Housing Association has launched a recruitment drive to fill much needed roles in its supported living schemes and nursing homes in Derry~Londonderry, Coleraine, Omagh, Castlederg, Strabane, Limavady and Belfast. Essential roles include nurses, support workers, care assistants, catering staff and housekeeping staff.

Apex owns and manages a range of schemes including accommodation and nursing homes for older people and supported housing for people with mental ill health, learning disabilities, alcohol/drug addictions, those who are physically disabled and young people in need of support.
Elaine Taylor, Apex Director of Personnel & Training, explains:
Similar to many care providers, Apex is feeling the effects of the pandemic on staffing levels across the organisation. Our schemes provide essential care and support to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities and these services must continue despite the challenges facing us.
As an employer, we can offer a range of benefits to those interested in joining the Apex team; including competitive salaries, flexible working patterns, enhanced rates for over-time and a generous leave entitlement. We encourage professional development and have an extensive programme of training opportunities for staff. Finally, we prioritise staff well-being and work to ensure all our employees achieve a good work-life balance.
