New Minibus for Ardavon
Apex is indebted to The Friends of Ardavon who have presented our tenants at Ardavon, Derry / Londonderry with a brand new 9 seater specially adapted minibus to transport them to and from their various activities in the local area.
tenants could not have been more appreciative
Ardavon scheme manager Pauline Tierney thanked The Friends who had made this very special presentation possible stressing that the tenants could not have been more appreciative and that the minibus would be put to good use immediately.
Ardavon is a new supported housing scheme built by Apex in the city’s Waterside. It opened in June 2015 and provides accommodation, support and care for 12 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities over 18 years of age.
Friends of Ardavon Chairperson George Glenn said “We believe that recreation and travel are essential for all, particularly those with special needs. This minibus will help the Ardavon tenants enjoy new places and experiences. We are proud to support the tenants and the staff who work there.”
