New Advice Outreach Clinic in Cornshell Fields
Apex and the Resource Centre Derry (RCD) are now working together to provide free, confidential and independent advice to our tenants. The advice clinic will operate every Monday from 10am to 4pm in the community building in Cornshell Fields (located above the shop), starting on Monday 4th July 2016.
Melissa Cooke will be available to help complete benefit applications and advise on Welfare Reform and other issues. With Welfare Reform now taking effect this will be an invaluable service conveniently located for tenants to access at no cost.
Jude McKinney, Manager of the RCD Welfare Rights service stated ‘’This outreach service will enhance the invaluable work carried out by the Resource Centre Derry and help those that require open door, face to face frontline advice.” He added that collaborative partnerships are key to The Resource Centre Derry and working in partnership with Apex will enhance the service they can offer to the people of Cornshell Fields and surrounding areas.
