Local charities receive £20,000 from Apex

Twenty nine local charities have received funding from Apex Housing Association, following an unprecedented number of applications to the organisation’s Common Fund this year.
Damian McKenna, Treasurer of Apex Housing Association, commented:
This year we were thrilled with the level of interest from local charities. There was an exceptional standard and high number of applications to the Common Fund and as a result we were delighted to award 29 local charities with £690 each.
This funding will be used by the charities in a diverse range of initiatives which will support local communities at this difficult and challenging time; through social, environmental, recreational and health and well-being activities.
Based in areas across Northern Ireland, the successful charities will put the funding to good use delivering projects targeted at a wide spectrum of the community; including children and young people, parents and families, those with learning disabilities, those with mental ill health and older people.
