Special Achievement - Highly Commended - Dunvale HouseGardening Competition – Highly Commended
Today we are featuring some of the gardens which were awarded Highly Commended certificates. As you will see there was stiff competition this year!
We had a great response to our Gardening Competition with over 20 entries to the four categories – Special Achievement, Most Original Feature, Best Hanging Basket and Best Overall Kept Garden.
We were very pleased to have the Head Gardener from Queen’s University Belfast, Paul Wallace, judging the competition for us this year. Paul was very impressed with the standard of the gardens and commented that it wasn’t an easy decision to pick winners!
Everyone who entered the competition has received a packet of seeds, kindly donated by Homebase, and we look forward to seeing these seeds blooming in their gardens next year!
No doubt our competition entrants will continue to use their green fingers and hopefully their efforts will inspire others to take up this (believe it or not!) therapeutic exercise.
