Celebrating 30 years of Railway Court
Last week, Railway Court in Omagh celebrated its 30th anniversary and to mark the occasion, the learning disability scheme held a celebration event in the Silverbirch Hotel. Entertainment was provided by Brian Pritchard, Harmonise choir and Eoin McNulty.
Situated on the Dromore Road, Railway Court offers accommodation, support and care for 23 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities over 18 years of age. It is owned and managed by Apex Housing Association.
Alison Rafferty, Manager of Railway Court, commented:
As we celebrate 30 years of Railway Court, it’s worth reflecting on the broader importance of the work we do. Our commitment to adults with learning disabilities is a commitment to dignity, respect, and the belief that everyone deserves to thrive. This milestone would not be possible without our remarkable team. Their dedication, compassion, and creativity make Railway Court the special place it is today.
Mairead Brogan, also Manager of Railway Court, added:
These thirty years have been full of challenges, growth, and triumphs. We look forward to continuing this journey, supporting our tenants, celebrating their successes, and ensuring that Railway Court remains a warm, welcoming, and empowering home for many more years to come.
To mark the anniversary, staff members created a thoughtful newsletter, describing each and every tenant living in Railway Court, which you can read below:
