Our cover story showcases the celebrations that marked 60 years of Apex’s commitment to building communities. Whilst in his first statement as Chair, Liam Hannaway reflects on the impact recent cuts to funding for new homes could have on thousands of families still waiting for a place to call home.
Inside this edition, you’ll read about a new development in Lisburn which officially opened recently, a successful Good Relations Week programme packed full of events and an expansion of services at Parkview House, our nursing home in Castlederg. You’ll also find an update on the long-awaited Meenan Square project in Derry~Londonderry following planning approval being granted last month.

This edition also features an update on how tenants are making a difference behind the scenes at Apex, an update on our new online portal for tenants and how our sheltered housing schemes marked Older People’s Day.
You can also read an update on the ‘Move to UC ‘and learn how transitional protection works. We also have some tips to get winter ready and news from our estates team on a garden makeover at The House in The Wells.

Finally, you’ll find a summary of our performance during 2024-25 and an outline of how we provided value for money during the year.
If you currently don’t receive a hard copy of the newsletter and would like to request one, please contact our communications team on 028 7130 4800 or email communicationsteam@apex.org.uk.
