Apex followed up the success of the Community Art Project at Ballynafoy Close, Ravenhill Road, with a Community Fun Night which took place right on the tenant’s doorstep.
Over 70 tenants and their families came out to enjoy the sunshine and have a chat with their neighbours, while the young people enjoyed themselves having their faces painted and playing on the bouncy castle.
The candy floss and popcorn was a big hit with all ages!
Ballynafoy Close, is the first completed Together Building a United Community (TBUC) social housing scheme in Northern Ireland. Community involvement and engagement with tenants is crucial to the success of this initiative and each Apex event held throughout the year has endeavoured to promote this social interaction.
The next event planned for Ballynafoy Close is a coffee morning in The Shed on Thursday 25th August.
