Apprentices picking up invaluable tools

Three apprentices are currently learning on the job within the Property Services department in Apex, whilst also studying for a City and Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Maintenance Operations through North West Regional College.
Suhayl Parkes joined Apex in September 2018, whilst new recruits Dennis Deeney and Callum Canning began work in September of this year.
Suhayl says the past year has been brilliant: “There’s a great atmosphere in Apex so going to work is never a chore. I enjoy being out in different places and getting to know tenants when I’m out fixing something or helping with adaptations.”
Newly appointed Dennis commented: “I love the fact that we get to travel around and learn different skills from our mentors”, whilst Callum says “The variety of work makes the job so interesting; every day is different!”
Elaine Taylor, Apex Director of Personnel and Training, commented: “We are delighted to have these young men on board as part of the Apex team. We hope their apprenticeship here will be both enjoyable and valuable; and that they will remain part of the Apex team for many years to come.”
