The ‘Housing Heroes’ billboard roadshow is coming to Derry~Londonderry. Housing Heroes is an initiative by Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations (NIFHA) to highlight the vital community investment work which housing associations have undertaken during Covid-19.
Apex is delighted to announce that one of our ‘Housing Heroes’ nominees – Catherine Lusby has been selected for the Billboard.
Catherine is the Manager of the Apex Community Supermarket in Springtown, Derry~Londonderry. And at the beginning of Covid-19 lockdown in March 2019, Catherine developed whole new ways of working at the Community Supermarket to ensure that ‘members’ were still able to avail of this essential service.
New working protocols involved a weekly call to all members to take their shopping orders – packed with the help of our invaluable volunteers. If members were unable to pick up their weekly shopping – a home delivery was arranged.
The Housing Heroes’ billboard roadshow will be travelling around the 11 council areas. It will be in Derry~Londonderry on Wednesday, 23 September 2020
