Apex neighbourhood recognised in Best Kept Awards
The Northern Ireland Amenity Council has recognised Darkfort Drive in Portballintrae as the ‘Best Kept Small Housing Area’ in this year’s Best Kept awards.
The neighbourhood in North Antrim includes Apex development Darkfort Crescent as well as homes managed by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, and has been awarded the accolade for the great work being done to keep the area cleaner and greener. Darkfort Crescent, built in 2014, consists of seventeen homes and a large open space area.

We’re hugely proud of our work in creating and maintaining such a pleasant environment for our tenants in Darkfort Crescent. The development, although small, has a beautiful open space area with trees, shrubs, pathways and summer seating. We’re pleased that our responsibilities in maintaining the area have been recognised in such a positive way.
