Apex sheltered housing managers.Apex attains Sheltered Housing Award

Apex has successfully attained for the third time the CHS (Centre for Housing & Support) Code of Practice for Sheltered Housing and Related Support for Older Persons.
The CHS code of practice ensures greater tenant involvement in the development and delivery of supported services.
CHS assessors visited several sheltered housing schemes in May 2016 to evaluate staffing, services, policy, procedure and paperwork as well as gathering feedback from tenants.
The award is UK-wide and presented to organisations providing the highest quality service and standard of accommodation to elderly people. It was previously awarded to Apex in September 2013 for a three year period.
The standards require staff to demonstrate that clear policies and procedures are in place and to evidence how these are put in practice throughout the sheltered housing service.
Supported Housing Manager Ellen Hall, who led the accreditation processes stated:
“CHS accreditation demonstrates that Apex tenants are getting good value for money and good quality services and we are delighted to have achieved this accreditation once again. I would like to thank the staff and tenants who took part for their work and time in assisting us to achieve this award.”
