A celebration of tenants and residents

by

Our annual tenant celebration event took place last week in Da Vinci’s Hotel in Derry~Londonderry, with a great turnout from Apex tenants, residents and staff.

On the day, we celebrated the tenant engagement successes from the past year and shared information with tenants and residents about tenancy support, welfare advice and our work to support biodiversity.

One standout moment was the contribution from Elaine Smith, a member of Apex’s Tenant Panel, who spoke about her role and emphasised the new responsibility tenants have in scrutinising Apex’s departments.

Last but not least, we held our ‘Unsung Hero’ Awards to recognise the tenants and residents making a difference in their community. Nominated by their neighbours, it was our pleasure to announce the winners and present them with a certificate and gift voucher.

Congratulations to our 2025 ‘Unsung Heroes’

The tenant celebration closed with a 3-course lunch and entertainment from the unforgettable Micky Doherty who had everyone on their feet!
