Young people with their medals from Sports WeekApex Sports Week
Apex ran a very successful week of sports activities for tenants and the wider community in East Belfast during July.
Working in partnership with Belfast City Council and the Everybody Active Programme we provided a full week of sports activities for children and adults for free.
The young people took part in athletics, basketball, tennis, tag rugby, bowls and athletics. We also provided a yoga class for young people and adults and a jump, jiggle and jive class for the younger age group.
With very positive feedback indicating that the young people had a great time we are now planning to run more sports events in the future.
The Everybody Active initiative operates across all Council areas and we will be running events with them in Derry/Londonderry and other areas in the future.
