FREE GARDENING CLASSES – GROW YOUR OWN
Nature is wakening up and the allotments are ready for the spring planting. There are free plots avaible in the Ballymagowan Allotments where you can grow your own produce all year round. The allotment is on a slope, so perhaps not accessible to everyone, but for people with light mobility issues, raised beds can be offered. There is a big poly tunnel on the site which can be used on wet days.
To help you along and meet with other gardeners, Triax Neighbourhood Management Team is offering gardening classes with an expert gardener, every Thursday from 11.45am-12.45pm. There is always something new to learn.
There are easier accessible alotments in the Gasyard area and Fr Mulvey Park where classes are offered also.
