Edel McGinley, Kitchen Assistant
Edel McGinley has been with Apex for nearly 10 years, starting as a housekeeper at The House in The Wells, and now working as a kitchen assistant at Alexander House. We sat down with Edel to chat about her role, what Apex is like as an employer and how she spends her free time outside of work.

Describe what your job involves.
My job involves assisting the cooks and keeping everywhere clean and tidy throughout the day.
What do you like most about your job?
I like interacting with tenants and other staff members.

What advice would you give someone starting out in your career area?
Just go for it, it can open other opportunities.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like walking and spending time with my family and friends.
What did you want to be when growing up?
A vet – because I have a love of animals.
