 Situation: Parkview House is centrally situated within Castlederg close to local shops and amenities whilst still enjoying the tranquil setting adjacent to the River Derg with pleasing views of the surrounding countryside. Parkview provides a range of supporting living accommodation, to meet the needs of older people in Castlederg and surrounding area.

Individual Facilities: Parkview House is a Registered Nursing Home which can accommodate 27 Nursing Residents. Each Resident has their own tastefully decorated private room. Communal facilities include shared bathrooms, living rooms dining room and kitchen. The Home is set in landscaped grounds with access to several courtyard areas where they can enjoy the floral displays, weather permitting. All Residents are encouraged to personalise their room with special items of furniture, ornaments and pictures to enhance the warm friendly and homely environment.
Parkview House offers a weekly activity plan which ensures that a diverse range of activities are provided to cater for individual Residents Needs. Activities provided include Arts and Crafts, music games and outings. Regular church services are arranged and members of the local clergy visit the home on a frequent basis.

Support & Care:The needs of all Residents are assessed by the Nurse Manager, prior to them being admitted to the Nursing Home in order that their individual care needs can be met. All Residents will receive confirmation in writing that the Nursing Home can meet their assessed needs at time of assessment. All placements will be reviewed on an on-going basis and Residents, their families/Next of Kin, Care Managers will be consulted regarding any change of circumstances. Care Plans are devised in consultation with all relevant persons. We encourage Residents families and friends to visit at any times and provide feedback on the quality and range of Services in Parkview House.

To apply, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • have a physical illness/disability
  • require 24 hour nursing care

Applications to the Parkview House Nursing Home can be made by;

  • a general practitioner;
  • social services; or
  • or care manager.
All applications will be assessed in accordance with our selection policy.
