Situation: Brickfield Court: situated on Bligh’s Lane in Derry, in a central location overlooking the city, offers sheltered accommodation for independent living for tenants over 60 years of age. It is owned and managed by Apex Housing Association.
Individual Facilities: The scheme consists of 1 three bedroom house and 42 self–contained one & two bedroom flats in a purpose built three storey building. There is a secure door entry system and an emergency call system is each room of the flats. Set in landscaped grounds with seating facilities it is within easy reach of all local amenities and walking distance of the main shopping area.
Support: Support needs are assessed through the support planning process when an individual moves into Brickfield Court in order to ensure the individual’s needs can be met. Support needs are discussed and agreed with the tenant to promote choice and independence on an ongoing basis.
A Scheme Manager is available on site Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with Fold Telecare services providing cover outside of these times.
